Terms and Conditions

Welcome to UCT OHS Store. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of this online store.

UCT OHS Store is a one-stop online shop designed to provide all the prescribed stationery requirements so you don’t have to worry about where to find all the different items. We also provide branded merchandise such as apparel, water bottles, notebooks and technology gadgets for a stress-free learning experience.

By accessing this online store we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use UCT OHS Store if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

Terms of Sale

The quoted price of the product excludes delivery costs, which are calculated based on your location within South Africa. Please ensure that the correct province is selected when placing an order to avoid any delays.

  • Promotions and Sales

            You should reserve the right to end sales early and reject promotional codes.


All payments are strictly made through a Payfast Payment Gateway (credit and debit cards) or EFT before delivery takes place. No product(s) will be released before bank clearance. In case of an EFT, the customer must email their proof of payment to orders@valentureinstitute.com. Please only use the order number as your reference. 

Delivery Policy

Delivery times range from 24-72 hours in key metro areas and up to 4-5 days for outlying areas.

Delivery dates provided by UCT OHS Store are used as guidelines only and made without obligations. The customer accepts that there will be no claim against UCT OHS Store for failing to deliver goods by any specified date and that late delivery will not provide grounds for cancellation of any orders or an expectation not to pay for the goods.

Delivery costs are dependent on the final destination. These costs are calculated based on the street postal code supplied by the customer. Any errors in the calculation of the shipping fee due to the incorrect postal code being supplied will be at the customer’s expense. 

Once an order has been placed and paid for, a unique tracking number will be supplied to ensure regular updates on your delivery.

Orders placed over weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Please note that no deliveries will take place on weekends or public holidays.

Customer Privacy Policy

UCT OHS Store shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). 

UCT OHS is truly committed to protecting your privacy and will under NO circumstances give out, sell, share or disclose any of your private information. Your information will only be used for the products and services you request.

However, the customer agrees that UCT OHS Store can provide the customer’s contact information, including email address, contact information (such as mobile and landline telephone numbers) and physical address, to the shipping company to make delivery possible.

Export Restrictions

The offering on this website is available to South African citizens only. No international deliveries are available.

Return and Refund Policy

If the customer changes their mind or cancels the order a 10% administration fee will apply. There is strictly no refund on delivery costs and you will be liable for collection costs.

The customer has the right to return any unwanted goods for a refund if the goods are in the original condition, bearing in mind the associated administration fees.

UCT OHS Store will arrange for collection of incorrectly delivered goods if goods are reported to orders@valentureinsitute.com in writing within 7 working days after the goods were delivered to the customer.

  • If the goods are not returned within 7 working days then UCT OHS Store will deem the goods sold to the customer and the customer will be liable to settle the account.

There will be no refunds on stationery items that have been used or are not in their original packaging.

Credit for goods returned can only be given or an exchange made if written permission has been obtained beforehand.

Refunds will only be processed after bank clearance and confirmation of the customer’s particulars.

Under no circumstances whatsoever shall UCT OHS Store’s liability to the customer exceed the invoice price of the goods purchased, whatever the subject of the claim.

The customer accepts that responsibility rests solely on them to determine that goods obtained from UCT OHS Store are suitable for their intended use.

The customer agrees to hold UCT OHS Store harmless and indemnify the Store against all claims by all and any third party arising from the use of goods whether these claims are the result of direct or consequential damages.

Amendments to Your Agreement

UCT OHS Store reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions. It is the responsibility of the customer to periodically check the Terms Agreement for changes.
